What Happened
Paidwork’s 2026 breach involved a database allegedly stolen from the microtask platform in March 2026 and later publicly circulated in July, with reporting and breach listings indicating 23,272,765 users affected. The exposed data reportedly included names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, dates of birth, profile photos, IP addresses, device information, financial transaction and payout histories, bank account numbers, education details, and bcrypt-hashed passwords, making it both an identity-theft and financial-fraud risk. Paidwork had not publicly confirmed the incident at the time of reporting.
