What Happened
In July 2025, subscription and recurring billing platform Recurpay (recurpay.com) suffered a data breach in which a leaked dataset of 14,805 records exposed information from Shopify merchants and their customers, including email addresses, phone numbers, first and last names, and order details. The compromised data related to Recurpay’s use as a Shopify subscription platform, affecting both merchant and customer records tied to recurring orders and subscriptions.
