What Happened
In April 2021, SlideTeam, a platform offering the world’s largest collection of pre-designed presentation slides, suffered a data breach when attackers allegedly compromised its Magento e-commerce instance, exposing approximately 1.46 million accounts—including names, email addresses, usernames, and passwords stored as salted hashes—which were later published on a hacking forum and added to breach databases like Have I Been Pwned on January 7, 2023. No evidence indicates a separate SlideTeam breach in 2023; the incident occurred in 2021 with public disclosure the following year.
