What Happened
In September 2024, specifically on September 16, Parking Pay (operated by Parking Pay Management Office, Inc. in Japan, accessible via parkingpay.jp) suffered a data breach due to unauthorized external manipulation of its management system and app, exposing the personal registration information of 267,354 users. Affected data included member IDs, email addresses, vehicle number plates, and invitation codes, but no credit card or payment information was compromised. The company confirmed the incident and urged users to change passwords as a precaution.
