Lapostemobile data breach

Lapostemobile

What Happened

In July 2022, French telecommunications company La Poste Mobile (also known as Lapostemobile) suffered a ransomware attack by the LockBit group targeting its administrative and management systems on or around July 4, leading to the public release of compromised customer data. The breach exposed approximately 533,900 unique accounts, including email addresses, names, physical addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, genders, and banking information such as credit card details, with one source reporting 1,337,561 rows of data. The company’s website remained offline for at least 10 days post-attack, though mobile services continued operating, and it advised customers to watch for phishing and identity theft.
