What Happened
In July 2022, Fundação Dionísio Pinheiro, a Portuguese cultural and educational foundation, suffered a data breach affecting nearly 15,000 records. The exposed data included approximately 3,000 unique email addresses, usernames, and IP addresses. The breach was identified and disseminated within threat intelligence channels on July 31, 2022, and was classified as a database compromise. The breached data was subsequently shared on a popular cybercrime forum.
